He asked. You said “yes.” You’ve cried yourself silly, family and friends have been notified, and the date has been set. Now, it’s time to get to work and plan your day of nuptial bliss. PhotographersCapturing the MomentA groom seeing his bride for the first time, a father lifting his daughter’s veil with tears in his eyes, a bride and groom as they enjoy a few stolen moments away from the hustle and bustle of the reception, a warm embrace from a favorite grandmother—these are only a few of the powerful moments that could be captured on your wedding day, and ones that Kathleen Smith of Kathleen Smith Photography (651.702.9079; kathleensmithphoto.com) believes make each wedding memorable. “Creating an experience that is captured with images evoking emotion is a must and something I strive for with every client,” she says. Smith, who has had a camera in hand since high school and earned a degree in photography and graphic design, offers packages from $1,250–$2,900 for time and talent, proofs, CD and copyright release.

Parent and Child

Somewhere along the line, I started taking a picture of the high school senior with the parent that joined us on our shoot. I so wish I would have done this from the beginning ... these will be treasured forever by both parent and child ... ok ok ok ... SENIOR ... !!! But know this all you seniors; when your Mom or Dad look at you, I'll bet the first image that pops into their head is you crawling around in a diaper with a big grin on your face and always being too cute for words!

"... and for all my kids, be nice to everyone ... especially each other."

Even as she neared the end of her journey, Cari was still teaching.

Peyton

A couple of weeks ago, I was in Hudson to photograph Peyton for her 2year pictures. Kim and Matt had the perfect backyard ~ beautiful and it kept Peyton happy and curious the entire time! These are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

The McGuire Family

Thank goodness it was the McGuire family in the studio being photographed when I blew a light ... Chris works with a remodeling company and knew his way around electricity! We had the studio up and running again in no time. I LOVE these images of them ... beautiful family!

Jack

I photographed Jack last week and enjoyed him and his family ... these are few more of ones that I really like! The last image is one of my favorites ... it's even up for the second time!

Jake

Jake is on a bowling team so we met up at Drakula's in Invergrove Heights (FABULOUS place!) for some of his shots before heading onto to another venue. I absolutely LOVE the bowling shots ... especially the glowing blue lights! The lights match the color of Jake's eyes!!!

Anders

We had fun exploring St. Paul for Anders' senior session. We noticed many school buses in downtown that day that brought back a flood of memories! Great job Anders. These are just a few of my favorites.

Jenica and Ben

What I remember most about Jenica and Ben's wedding are the smiles and an explosion of color. There are so many fabulous images ... these just happen to be but a few that I love. Enjoy!

Ellesshu

The timing of the Melancon's new boat could not have been better ... perhaps a composite as a holiday card! I think this collection is pretty cool.

Jack sneak peek!

The McMahon session was a BALL! Jack's sister and Dad joined us and it made for a really great senior session memory. I LOVE this shot of Jack.
